The hip-hop community is mourning the loss of Lil Keed. The 24-year-old MC died on Friday, a rep told Complex, and a cause of death has not yet been revealed. While his death was first announced by his brother and fellow MC Lil Gotit, others have been taking to social media to give Keed his flowers and pay tribute to the late rapper.

Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher are set to hit the road this spring for the 2022 Griselda tour. The Buffalo, New York-based hip-hop collective is set to kickoff their first nationwide tour in two years following their Coachella performance, with its opening date in Chicago on May 10. Fans can also catch the Griselda titans in areas like Boston, Atlanta, New York, Denver and San Francisco before closing out the tour in Los Angeles in early June.

WWE Issues Griselda Copyright Strikes On YouTube, Westside Gunn Not Pleased

WWE is coming for their coin in 2022. The sports entertainment conglomerate has hit strong arm Hip-Hop collective Griselda Records with several copyright strikes on YouTube. As spotted on Complex the Buffalo, New York native got a corporate wake up call this week that might affect his bag. On Wednesday, January 5 Westside Gunn took to his Instagram Story to vent his frustration with the WWE after they requested that the streaming service take down several of his songs. The selections that were removed included “Claiborne Kick” featuring Boldy James, “The Hurt Business” featuring Smoke DZA and Wale, “French Toast” featuring Wale and Joyce Wrice and “Allah Sent Me” featuring Benny the Butcher and Conway the Machine. Each track featured audio from WWE matches and or interviews.

WWE has filed copyright claims on YouTube against rapper Westside Gunn and his label Griselda Records. Griselda posted the copyright claims on their Instagram Story, asking why it happened. Gunn often samples WWE audio and interviews for his tracks. This was the case in the four songs that got claims against them: “French Toast”, ” Allah Sent Me,” “Claiborne Kick” and “The Hurt Business.” It’s unknown if WWE made the claims or if a third party contractor did, as is often the case with big companies.
