On the anniversary of their first date, Peter’s former portrayer grew reflective. It was five years ago on August 28 that future General Hospital castmates Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter) first went on a date that would forever change both of their lives. But it was actually back in the early 2000s that they had met. “I reminded her,” he Instagrammed this week, that “it was a show with a lighthouse where we first crossed paths all those years ago in magical NYC.”

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes you can sum up what that photograph conveys with just one. In the case of the pic Laura Wright shared on April 28, the word would be “happiness.” Because it was snapped on the night that the General Hospital star’s life would forever be changed.

When GENERAL HOSPITAL’s production shut down in mid-April for the soap’s spring hiatus, Laura Wright (Carly) decided to make the most of her time off by scheduling a short vacation with her longtime beau, Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter)! The real-life love birds are used to the sunny weather of Southern California, but they traded the Pacific Ocean for the Atlantic Ocean and headed to beautiful St. Augustine, Florida, for a few days!

The real-life couple has some fun in the sun and shares a surprising encounter while at sea. Last month General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) shared photos from her and Wes Ramsey’s (ex-Peter) trip to the Indian Wells Masters tennis tournament in California and recently she gave fans a glimpse into their latest weekend getaway — this time from St. Augustine, Florida, where she encouraged those who haven’t been there to visit the “great town!”

Peter may be dead and everyone in Port Charles is currently trying to get on with their lives, but when. Laura Wright (Carly) isn’t working on the ABC soap she’s spending time with her boyfriend Wes Ramsey, who recently exited the villainess role. The couple often shares their many adventures together on social media and this time they spent the weekend at the Indian Wells Masters, an annual tennis tournament in California.

A little downtime always does the body and soul a bit of good. It may have been a crazy, drama-filled time in Port Charles over the last few days, for Carly, yes, with her impending divorce, but especially for Peter and those he’s taunted for what seemed like a lifetime. Two General Hospital (GH) cast changes were announced late on Wednesday, February 23rd, which will change the face of Port Charles, going forward. Firstly, it appears that Peter August’s reign of terror has officially come to an end. Actor Wes Ramsey took to Instagram yesterday to share that his time with the ABC soap is indeed over.

Wes Ramsey’s run as Peter August on “General Hospital” has come to an end, and this time it doesn’t appear to be a fakeout. On the Wednesday, February 23 episode, his character perished after succumbing to injuries incurred at the hands of Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) as she saved her daughter, Maxie (Kirsten Storms), from Peter once and for all.

Parting is such sweet sorrow for the on-screen baddie and his real-life colleagues. As word spread that General Hospital villain Peter August was really, most sincerely dead — or so we think… for now — portrayer Wes Ramsey tried to sum up in words his experience as the spawn of Cesar Faison and Alex Devane. First and foremost, he wanted to express his gratitude to the audience.

In a post on Instagram dedicated to her now former co-star, “General Hospital” actress Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) called Wes Ramsey “a consummate professional” following the dramatic conclusion to the Henrik Faison storyline which began in 2017. Better known as Peter August (Ramsey), Henrik Faison was the son of Cesar Faison and Alex Devane (also played by Hughes). The character was behind the deaths of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth; now appearing as Austin Gaitlin-Holt) and the yearslong capture of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), among a multitude of other crimes.

In an Instagram message, Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter) posted a farewell to GH, his soap home since 2017. “Thank you for taking the journey with me,” he wrote. “To those who were kind & supportive, my heart has felt inspired by you. To my friends & family (& the fans everywhere), it has been an honor to give everything I had to this & I will never forget how fun it was to entertain you. To the cast & crew, thank you for welcoming me into your world & for giving me a chance to play with you each day. Maybe we could ask for a second opinion on this advice…. We aren’t going to beat around the bush here: General Hospital‘s Peter is a horrible, horrible human being. His portrayer, Wes Ramsey, however, is most definitely not! And on top of that, he’s actually pretty darn funny.
