Wes Iwundu: Serviceable off bench

Iwundu logged 12 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and one steal across 18 minutes during Tuesday's 126-120 loss to the Motor City Cruise. Iwundu logged one of his best stat lines across the 2021-22 G League season. At best, he will be an adequate backup for a Charge team that rosters many more guards than forwards.

Wes Iwundu: Plays but does little

Iwundu logged zero points (0-1 FG), three assists and one rebound across five minutes during Wednesday's 133-110 loss to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The Charge have played 16 G League games so far this year. However, Iwundu has sat out all but four of them. Iwundu was signed by the G League's Cleveland Charge earlier this month. He logged his first game for them Friday but failed to supply a serviceable stat line off their bench.

Should the Atlanta Hawks sign Wes Iwundu to another contract?

The Atlanta Hawks have seen some good players come through the franchise on the 10-day hardship deals they have had to sign due to the Covid-19 crisis. Some of these, like Lance Stephenson, did not work out and the Hawks were right to move on from him as he did not show enough during his time with the franchise.

Wes Iwundu: Time over in Atlanta

Iwundu wasn't available Monday for the Hawks' game in Portland after Atlanta didn't re-sign him when his 10-day contract expired Sunday, Keith Smith of reports. Iwundu went from the starting five to off the roster in just the span of three days, as the fifth-year forward played 43 minutes and logged 12 points and six rebounds as a member of the top unit in the Hawks' most recent game Friday against the Cavaliers. Though Atlanta entered Monday's game without eight players due to injury or COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the returns of Kevin Huerter and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot were enough to cushion the loss of Iwundu on the wing.

Iwundu notched eight points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and one steal over 16 minutes during Wednesday's 131-117 loss to the Bulls. Iwundu was back in the lineup Wednesday after missing the previous game due to health and safety issues. Hawks' Wes Iwundu: Will be available Wednesday

Iwundu (conditioning) will be available for Wednesday's contest against the Bulls, Mike Conti of the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network reports.
