Virginia Lee (Wentworth) Chapin

Chapin, Virginia Lee (Wentworth) A Texas country girl at heart. Age 101, of Excelsior, MN and for the last eight years living with her family in Minneapolis, died at home on November 10, 2021 from natural causes. She was born on April 17, 1920 near Granbury, TX. She met our dad, an easterner, in June, 1943 when he was in Texas for Army Air Corps training. She married him five months later and moved 'up north' and has been living with us 'Northerners' ever since. She was proud to tell that during the war he wrote to her every single day that he was oversees. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Virgie Wentworth; husband, Chip; brothers, Otto and Charles; and sister, Kate. She is survived by her sister, Lucille; sons, Warren "Skip" (Barbara), Fred (Karen), and daughter, Linda (Ben); grandchildren, Laurie (Sasanka), Alex (Lindsay) and Rebecca; step-grandchildren, Viktoria (Marshall) and Alexandra, and great-grandchildren, Quinn, Avery and Silas; and many cousins, nieces and nephews, mostly living in Texas. Mom was a longtime member of Excelsior United Methodist Church. She enjoyed travelling the world and watching life go by out her window overlooking Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior. Our family will have a graveside service next spring at the country cemetery near Granbury, TX not 5 miles from where she was born, where she will be buried beside our dad who we lost 45 years ago. Virginia Lee Thomas Hudnall, 91, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ginny was a devoted wife to Beverly, her late husband of 61 years. She was born in Washington, D.C., to Otis and Hazel Thomas. Ginny was raised on the family farm near Burgess and lived in the area her entire life. She was a graduate of Northumberland High School and Valedictorian of her graduating class. She was a lifelong member of Fairfields Baptist Church where she volunteered and served in several capacities, including as a trustee. Ginny’s greatest joy was her family, including all those who considered her a second mom. She will always be remembered for her warm smile, sweet disposition, and the kindness extended to everyone she met.

Virginia Rice, 89, passed away in Klamath Falls on July 29, 2021. She was born June 20, 1932 in Medford, Ore. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jonni and Jan deGroot of Klamath Falls; daughter, Terri Rice of Sunriver, Ore., 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and another one expected in October. A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 7, 2021 at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens, 4711 Hwy. 39 in Klamath Falls. Cascade Cremation & Burial is assisting the family.

Virginia Lee (Bellows) Chittick

Virginia Lee (Bellows) Chittick passed away on July 11, 2021 at the age of 88 years. She was born on June 21, 1931, in Pawnee City, NE, the youngest child of Elsie (Moore) Bellows and John “Roy” Bellows. Growing up in Pawnee City she enjoyed swimming, music, and close friendships that lasted throughout the years. Virginia “Ginny” and her older sister Patricia also enjoyed many trips with their mother and close family friend Arthur (Doctor) Glider throughout the United States during their school years. After Virginia graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1951, she attended Peru State College and taught country school in Pawnee County for two years before moving to Omaha, NE to work at Union Pacific Railroad. She had many fun and treasured memories from these years that she liked to share. From being rescued in a snow storm on a tractor from the country school to walking to work in Omaha from her apartment at 35th and Dodge to the Union Pacific building, further cementing her independent streak and strong will.

LEE, Virginia Isbell, age 83, of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Elk River Health and Rehab in Winchester. A native of Franklin County, she was born on Dec. 23, 1937, to the late Artis Loyd and Bessie Lou Shockley Isbell. She was employed at TVA as a warehouse operator and later retired after over 20 years of employment. She was a member of the Bartons Creek Baptist Church. In her free time she loved to spend time working in her garden, especially tending to her flowers. She was also an avid traveler and loved to travel by cruise line to a lot of different countries. Virginia was charitable, kindhearted, fun loving and adventurous. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee; son, Frankie Partin; siblings, Ira Isbell, Ruth Quinn, Minnie Lou Morris, Charles Isbell, Billy Isbell and Artis Isbell Jr.; children, Kenneth (Janice) Partin of Decherd, and Tammy (Keith) Bellenger of Clarksville; grandchildren, Carrie (Matt) Jackson, Jason (Michelle) Partin, Rob Bellenger and Rachel Bellenger; great-grandchildren, Olivia Partin and J.W. Partin; siblings, Ed Isbell of Decherd, Bobby (Emma) Isbell of Decherd, Harold (Mary) Isbell of Decherd, Shirley Reed of Fayetteville, Linda Clark (Decherd), Barbara (James) Elliott of Decherd, and Brenda Brewer of Estill Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Friday, May 21, 2021, from noon to 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 21, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby McBee and Pastor Ricky Everhart officiating. Virginia Lee Creel, 84, of Klamath Falls, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 25, 2021 in Silverton, Ore. Virginia was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. Jan. 12, 1937, the loving daughter of Homer and Mrytle Smith. Virginia was married to Raymond Creel who preceded her in death, for 64 years. She worked as a personal banker at US Bank until 1997 when she retired. She was a devoted Christian woman who loved people, and is now in the loving hands of God. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Creel (Sue); her granddaughters Dennette Turner, Tammi Creel, Amy Beardsley; her sister Wanda Murphy (John); and many great-grandchildren that adore her. Services were held at the Willamette Natioinal Cemetery, in Portland, Ore. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel-Silverton, Ore.
