DAVIS, Virginia Garner, age 90, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Life Care Center in Tullahoma. She was born on June 13, 1930, in Franklin County, to the late Lawrence Garner and Pluma Bookout Garner. She had been employed at AEDC, was the owner of Jenny’s Fashions and later retired as a realtor. Virginia had a very refined and elegant demeanor but was also very business minded. In her spare time she enjoyed needlework, crocheting, gardening and fishing. She was devoted to her family and her greatest joy was being at home spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer “Bud” Davis and brother, Robert Garner. She is survived by her children, Nancy Lowe of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael (Shelia) Davis of Denver, Colorado, Michael (Lisa) Smith of Manchester, Mark (Pat) Smith of Winchester, and Maxwell Smith of Winchester; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Garner of Winchester; nephews, Rusty (Anna) Garner of Huntland and Robbie Garner of Cookeville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 1-3:30 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home chapel. Interment was in the Mt. Garner Cemetery.
