Thunder's Ty Jerome: Done for season

Jerome underwent successful surgery to address a sports hernia Tuesday and will miss the rest of the 2021-22 season, Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic reports. The 24-year-old appeared in 48 games this season and averaged 7.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 16.7 minutes while shooting 37.8 percent from the field. Jerome is expected to be cleared for full basketball activities in about eight weeks.

Thunder's Ty Jerome: Out Tuesday, likely Wednesday, too

Jerome (hip) is listed as out for Tuesday's game against the Bucks, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports. Tuesday marks the front end of a back-to-back set for the Thunder, and with the team providing no indication that Jerome's return is imminent as he works back from a hip injury that dates back to before the All-Star break, he can probably be ruled out for Wednesday's game in Minnesota, too. Jerome's ongoing absence has helped clear the way for Theo Maledon and Vit Krejci to handle regular roles as the Thunder's main backup guards.
