La Junta High School football coach Drew Sisson has called senior lineman Trent Johnston one of the most consistent players he has this year. “He’s been a three-year starter for us,” Sisson said. “He started on offense as a sophomore and last year, we really looked for him to improve on offense and defense. He’s got a whole lot more reps on defense and he gives a good look. He provides depth a nose guard.”

Johnston scored 21 points, with 14 coming in the second half, grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked five shots as the Tigers came from behind to defeat the Huskies 54-41 at Tiger Gym.
