Thanks to an injury, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne missed all of his rookie season in 2021 and had to watch his first year in the NFL from the sidelines. Of course, all that Etienne missed out on was a 3-14 season that saw first-year coach Urban Meyer get fired before the end of the season. Because of all the turmoil that went on with Jacksonville this year, Etienne said he was somewhat relieved to miss the season.

Etienne is already participating in his team’s voluntary offseason conditioning program with new head coach Doug Pederson. The running back estimated that he’s 85-90% recovered from his Lisfranc injury, and while he’s still limited “in some of his weight-room work,” he’s been able to take part in most of the on-field drills.
