Hike in memory of Tom LaBonge on summer solstice

In memory of the late Los Angeles City Councilman Tom LaBonge, join a summer solstice sunset hike to Mt. Hollywood on Tuesday, June 21. The hike starts at 6 p.m. at the Charlie Turner Trailhead, 2840 W. Observatory Road., and concludes at the Tom LaBonge Panorama. Parking is $10 in the nearby Griffith Observatory lot, and free at the Greek Theatre, where a DASH bus can take hikers to and from the trailhead. Participants are encouraged to bring refreshments to celebrate the start of summer. Sunset will be at 8:08 p.m.
