Tom Colley, New Haven Nighthawks hockey legend, dies

Tom Colley, whose number was retired by the New Haven Nighthawks after an outstanding American Hockey League career, died Wednesday morning. He was 68. Colley had recently been battling two forms of cancer a decade after a double lung transplant, said his daughter, Tara. She set up a GoFundMe page earlier this year, and she said the response helped pick up her father’s spirits through his struggle.
