We’ll start by saying the bad news is that the movie isn’t coming out any time soon. Cameras start rolling next week, according to Deadline, but at least we have something to look forward to. Los Angeles, May 3 (SocialNews.XYZ) Tobias Menzies, who is known for his work as Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in the third and fourth seasons of 'The Crown' has been signed for 'Beth & Don' along with Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
The Emmy-winning The Crown alum will star opposite Pia Tjelta, one of Norway’s most successful actors, who plays a doctor who runs a fertility clinic. "Menzies stars as a successful British businessman who runs the first fertility clinic in the U.S. and plans to conquer the industry while implementing the potential of A.I. in both treatment and technology," per Variety. "He comes to Norway with the goal of acquiring Elin’s leading clinic, Bien, but faces her resistance." No word on if Made in Oslo will be shown in the U.S.

Historical television shows do tend to capture people’s attention, and it’s not uncommon for some actors to star in several such series, especially if they happen to actually resemble historical figures or just have a pleasantly old-timey look about them. This has been the case with actor Tobias Menzies, who’s spent the last several years starring on Outlander and The Crown. The series will follow in the aftermath of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, and Menzies will play the detective on the case, Edwin Stanton, “Lincoln’s War Secretary and friend, who was nearly driven to madness by the need to catch assassin John Wilkes Booth and to carry out Lincoln’s legacy.”
Tobias Menzies is going to be back on our screens soon, although not necessarily in Outlander. He’s landed a role in Apple TV+’s Manhunt. We’re not getting to see flashbacks with Frank or Black Jack Randall on Outlander. At least, there are no signs of them just yet. However, we will get to see more of Tobias Menzies on our screens in the near future.

Created by Monica Beletsky based on James L. Swanson's bestselling book Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase to Catch Lincoln's Killer, Manhunt is described as part historical fiction and part conspiracy thriller. Menzies will play Edwin Stanton, Lincoln’s war secretary and friend, who "was nearly driven to madness by his quest to catch John Wilkes Booth and carry out Lincoln’s legacy," according to The Hollywood Reporter, which adds: "The series will also feature Black historical figures whose lives intertwined with Booth’s escape, the manhunt and subsequent investigation with characters set to include Mary Simms, a former slave of the doctor who treated. Booth’s injury and provided him safe harbor following his crime." Manhunt shares the same name as the Discovery/Spectrum anthology series.
