Greiss played well in his last start Tuesday versus Tampa Bay, stopping 38 of 41 shots en route to a 4-3 victory. He'll try to secure a second straight win in a home matchup with a Penguins team that's averaging 3.00 goals per game on the road this campaign, 13th in the NHL.

Greiss allowed five goals on 23 shots through the first two periods of Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Penguins. He collected a goalie assist prior to being replaced by Alex Nedeljkovic. That's a wrap for Detroit's home games, with Greiss posting a 6-5-0 record, 2.87 GAA and .909 save percentage...

Greiss made 38 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Lightning. The veteran netminder reached 10 wins on the season, but it didn't come easy as Greiss squandered a 3-1 second-period lead, only for Jakub Vrana to fire home the game-winner early in the third. Greiss has had a rough season but has turned things around in April, going 2-3-0 over five starts with a 2.62 GAA and .926 save percentage.

Greiss will start Tuesday in Tampa Bay, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports. Greiss has just one win in 11 games over a 1-7-0 stretch since Feb. 23. His ratios have been terrible during that span, as well (4.42 GAA, .874 save percentage), so it would be wise to steer clear of Greiss if possible in this one against an always-dangerous Lightning offense.

Greiss will patrol the crease during Saturday's road game versus the Rangers. Greiss played well in his last start Tuesday against the Senators, stopping 28 of 30 shots, but he ultimately came away with a loss due to a lack of goal support from his teammates. He'll try to get back in the win column in a tough road matchup with a Rangers team that's 24-8-4 at home this season.

Greiss turned aside 33 shots in Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Rangers. New York out-shot Detroit 37-20 and scored in every period, with the Red Wings giving Greiss little help at either end of the ice. The veteran netminder has only one win in the last two months, going 1-7-0 over his last 11 appearances, and on the season he's saddled with a 3.58 GAA and ,892 save percentage.

Greiss made 28 saves in a 4-1 loss to Ottawa on Tuesday. He allowed two goals. Austin Watson beat him from the high slot at the end of the first period and then Drake Batherson tipped a point shot at 15:32 of the second. Greiss was sharp Tuesday, but is an ugly 1-6-0 in his last eight starts with three early exits. The 36-year-old is not a viable fantasy option. Period.

Greiss is on track to start between the pipes in Tuesday's home game versus the Senators, NHL.com reports. Greiss was excellent in his last start Wednesday against the Jets, stopping 32 of 33 shots en route to a 3-1 victory. He'll try to secure a second straight win in a home matchup with a slumping Ottawa team that's lost three straight games.

Greiss turned aside 32 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Jets. A Mark Scheifele tally in the second period ruined his shutout bid, but Greiss was probably happy just to collect his first win since Feb. 17. Even with Wednesday's performance, the veteran netminder has a 4.69 GAA and .873 save percentage over seven outings since the beginning of March.

Greiss led the Red Wings onto the ice, indicating he'll start Wednesday versus the Jets. Greiss will take his turn in net after Alex Nedeljkovic collected the win Tuesday over the Bruins. Greiss is 0-5-0 with 27 goals allowed across his last eight appearances, so he remains a significant risk for fantasy managers in any given matchup.

Greiss turned aside 31 of 34 shots in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Senators. Ottawa's final two goals were scored into an empty net but Greiss wasn't sharp before that, with Artem Zub's first-period tally in particular coming on a very stoppable point shot. Greiss hasn't gotten a win since Feb. 17, going 0-5-0 over his last eight outings with a ghastly 5.72 GAA and .840 save percentage.

Greiss will guard the road goal during Sunday's matchup with the Senators. Greiss wasn't great in his last appearance March 24 against Ottawa, surrendering three goals on 16 shots before exiting the eventual 5-2 loss with an upper-body injury. He'll try to secure his ninth win of the season in a road matchup with an Ottawa team that's 12-19-3 at home this year.

Greiss is over his upper-body injury and will be available for Friday's game against Ottawa, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. The team has yet to name a starter for Friday's contest, but at the very least, Greiss will be able to dress and back up Alex Nedeljkovic. Greiss missed three games with the injury and remains 8-11-1 on the season.

Greiss (upper body) will not be available against the Rangers on Wednesday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. With both Greiss and Calvin Pickard (undisclosed) sidelined, Alex Nedeljkovic figures to be the starter against New York, though coach Jeff Blashill didn't explicitly name him as such. The 36-year-old Greiss has struggled this season with an 8-11-1 record and career-worst 3.79 GAA in 25 appearances. Depending on the length of his absence, Greiss may miss out on the 10-win mark for the second straight year.

Greiss (upper body) won't play Saturday against the Lightning nor Sunday against the Penguins. Greiss was run into by Islanders winger Oliver Wahlstrom in the second period of Thursday's 5-2 loss. He finished out the period but didn't come back out for the third. Alex Nedeljkovic will likely start at least one game over the weekend, and Detroit will recall reinforcements in net from AHL Grand Rapids. Greiss's next chance to get back on the ice will come Wednesday against the Rangers.

Greiss was the first netminder to exit the ice at Thursday's game-day skate, Carley Johnston of the Red Wings' official site reports, indicating he'll be in goal versus the Islanders on the road. Greiss is winless in his last six outings, having posted a 0-3-0 record, 6.84 GAA and .824...

Greiss (upper body) left Thursday's game versus the Islanders after the second period, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports. Greiss allowed three goals on 16 shots in the contest. He appeared to take a hit late in the second period and wasn't on the bench during the third. More information on his status should arise before the Red Wings face the Lightning on Saturday.
