After making a big splash as an adult Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, Teyonah Parris is set to return as the character in The Marvels, a sequel to the 2019 smash hit Captain Marvel. Parris will be joined by Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, and Samuel L. Jackson for the film directed by Nia DaCosta, whose film Candyman is opening this weekend. In a funny coincidence, DaCosta tapped Parris to star in Candyman as well – a casting decision completely unrelated to the Captain Marvel sequel.
