2021-22 Season Review: Terry Rozier

The Charlotte Hornets know what they have in Terry Rozier at this point. His last two seasons have been remarkably similar. He’s good for 20, four, and four while flirting with 40% 3-point shooting on high volume. He’s historically been a clutch player for the team, even if those numbers took a little bit of a dip this past season. He’s a leader of this team and he brings an edge to the squad that every team needs.

Hornets' Terry Rozier: Struggles from deep in win

Rozier finished Friday's 133-117 win over the Bulls with 15 points (7-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt), four rebounds and eight assists across 30 minutes. Rozier has scored at least 15 points in four of his last five appearances, but he has struggled a bit with his shot -- those woes have been particularly noticeable from beyond the arc since the combo guard has made just 18.8 percent of his treys during that five-game span. There's no question Rozier can put up points on the board on any given game, but he also needs to improve his efficiency.

Rozier contributed 18 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 121-106 loss to the Knicks. Rozier needed 18 shots just to score 18 points and was woeful from the field, but he still posted a decent stat line across the board. The explosive point guard is not known for his efficiency, but he has taken steps in the right direction in that category. He's scored at least 15 points in all but one of his last 13 games, averaging 23.2 points per contest in that span.
