Lyon could be without three key players when they take on West Ham in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday.

Tottenham’s record signing, Tanguy Ndombele, may have played his last game for the club after a deadline-day deal was reached for him to rejoin Olympique Lyonnais. The France midfielder, 25, will go back to his homeland after a loan fee of £1.2 million was agreed, plus an option to buy him at the end of the season for close to the £54 million paid in 2019 when he became Spurs’ most expensive player.

Tanguy Ndombele has admitted he struggled to settle at Tottenham and revealed the constant manager changes did not help. The French midfielder was brought in as Spurs' record signing in the summer of 2019 but his arrival coincided with a downturn in the club's fortunes, as their form slumped under Mauricio Pochettino and then Jose Mourinho.
