David Gilmour released video of his former Pink Floyd bandmate Syd Barrett’s “Octopus.” The clip is from the 2020 Von Trapped Family livestream series. Gilmour performed Barrett’s “Octopus” during the May 7, 2020 edition of Von Trapped Family. The episode also saw the legendary guitarist discussing his relationship with Syd and also playing Barrett’s “Dominoes.” “Octopus” appears on Syd’s 1970 debut solo album, The Madcap Laughs, which Gilmour co-produced with Roger Waters and others.
