Jhené Aiko And Summer Walker To Headline 2022 Sol Blume Festival

The Sol Blume music festival has announced its return with a lineup of talented performers. Summer Walker and Jhené Aiko are two headliners of the annual R&B festival, which was put on pause for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic. Poised as Sacramento’s largest festival dedicated to R&B and soul music, the independent festival is also expanding by relocating to a much larger outdoor venue at Discovery Park. Additionally, the once single-day event has expanded to a full two-day affair, set for April 30 and May 1. “We’re excited for the opportunity to continue to bring a carefully curated & unique...

Jhené Aiko, Summer Walker, And Jorja Smith Are Headlining The Female-Led Sol Blume Festival Lineup

Achieving gender parity in musical festival lineups has been an uphill battle for female artists. Over the past few years, we’ve seen lineup figures cross the 30% mark of female-led acts on the bill, but that number seldom affects the headlining slate, which is typically dominated by male artists. We’ve seen some festivals recently make it a priority to feature female-led acts in at least half of the bill, but when it comes to hip-hop, that effort is generally negligible.

R&B Snippets: Summer Walker, Keyshia Cole & More!

SUMMER WALKER PUTS EX LONDON ON DA TRACK ON BLAST: Summer Walker took to social media to put her daughter's father London On Da Track on blast for his parenting skills after the producer posted videos of their daughter on his IG Stories. According to HotNewHipHop, Walker claimed the last time she tried to have a conversation with him about spending time with their child, he asked about production credits. Walker wrote via social media, “She’s not one of your little cars or props you can just post for clout. I wish you would just go. We don’t need you. She has a real father over here. We be the ones sleep deprived taking care of her while you out doing whatever.” Walker added that London's intentions “are not genuine and never have been,” adding that she feels she’s “leaving my child with a stranger.” She said, “This is uncomfortable for me. Why neither one of them can’t show me a picture of her room in ATL. She’s eight months. You had plenty of time to get her a room. She prolly sleeping in some cheap foldable bed thing you get from Target y’all placed in the corner.”

Travis Scott, Cardi B, Post Malone, Bruno Mars And Summer Walker: The Biggest Moves On The Hot 100

No. 5 - Ed Sheeran - “Shivers”. Ed Sheeran’s most recent hit single “Shivers” climbs on this week’s Hot 100, entering the top five for the first time as it lifts one rung to No. 5. The tune lands just behind the guitar player’s other smash “Bad Habits,” which holds at No. 4. The ascent enjoyed by “Shivers” means the British star occupies two spaces inside the upper half of the top 10, which is a relatively uncommon sight, even among acts as popular as Sheeran is.

Atlanta Soundtrack: Summer Walker, Lowertown and vintage Goodie Mob

Lo-fi indie band Lowertown is comprised of two best friends who met in high school math class in Sandy Springs, singer Olivia Osby and multi-instrumentalist Avsha Weinberg. Visually, their vibe is kind of like if Timothee Chalamet and Billie Eilish had secretly launched a music project together. Or perhaps more of a Gen Z Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham vibe.
