Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Scores twice in Game 3 win

Stamkos scored a pair of goals on four shots in Sunday's 5-1 Game 3 win over the Panthers. Stamkos ripped a one-timer past Sergei Bobrovsky, extending Tampa Bay's lead to 3-1 in the second period. He added an empty-net tally in the third. The goals were the first of the series for Stamkos, who's had a fairly quiet postseason after posting 106 points (42 goals, 64 assists) in 81 regular-season games. The 32-year-old forward has four goals and four assists in the playoffs.

Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Clutch power-play helper

Stamkos picked up a power-play assist in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Florida in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Round 2. The 106-point regular-season scorer is yet to go off for a multi-point game this postseason, which is obviously disappointing for fans who watched him pull off a nine-game multi-point game streak (26 points) to end the season. But Stamkos and the Bolts sit up 1-0 in Round 2, and his five points over eight games have been clutch. Tuesday's helper put Tampa up 3-1 with less than five minutes left in a very tight game.

Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Opens scoring Sunday

Stamkos scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4. Stamkos ended the regular season with nine straight multi-point efforts, logging 10 goals and 16 helpers in that span, but he's clearly been the focus of the Toronto defense. The 32-year-old has been limited to a goal, an assist and seven shots on net through four playoff contests, with both of his points coming in the Lightning's wins. Game 5 is set for Tuesday in Toronto -- the home team's advantage in setting line matchups could make that one tougher for the slumping Stamkos.

Lightning's Steven Stamkos: Favorable match-ups ahead

Stamkos has one assist over the first two games of the Lightning's Round 1 playoff series against the Maple Leafs. It came on the power play. Stamkos and the Bolts' top line have been outplayed 5-on-5 by the Leafs top line, but the series is knotted 1-1 heading back to Tampa Bay on Friday night. With last change, the Bolts will be able to get Stamkos and line mate Nikita Kucherov into a favorable match-up and he could take off offensively over the next two games. The Bolts will need that to happen to take the next step in their quest for a 'three-peat.'
