Caple Jr. revealed the logo for the upcoming science-fiction action film via his Instagram stories, giving audiences a peek at the new groups of evil Decepticons we’re set to see when the seventh live-action Transformers film hits theaters in 2022.

Transformers 7; Steven Caple Jr. Directs, Dominique Fishback & Anthony Ramos Star

After a 14 year hiatus the mega-franchise, Transformers, is back for film seven: Transformers: Rise of The Beast. Paramount pictures announced the news during its virtual showcase on Tuesday, amidst the start of films production. It was also announced that In The Heights actor Anthony Ramos and Judas and the Black Messiah actress Dominique Fishback will be headlining with Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II, The Land) directing. Today, Paramount Pictures announced Transformers: Rise of the Beasts as the next installment of the toy-inspired blockbuster film franchise that began back in 2007. While Bumblebee offered a smaller scale Transformers story a few years ago, this latest chapter will ramp things up by diving into the war between new kinds of Transformers that we haven’t seen on the big screen yet. But outside of the blockbuster bot battles, director Steven Caple Jr. plans to bring a healthy dose of humor and heart to the action spectacle.

Dominique Fishback to Star in Steven Caple Jr.‘s ‘Transformers’ Film With Anthony Ramos

Dominique Fishback has landed her next big role. According to Deadline, the Judas and the Black Messiah actress is in final negotiations to star in the next Transformers film opposite Anthony Ramos (In the Heights, Hamilton). The upcoming installment will reportedly be directed by Steven Caple Jr. and will be based on a script by Joby Harold. Paramount Pictures has remained tight-lipped about the project’s plot and characters, but according to Coming Soon, the installment is “expected to pick up the story threads established in 2018’s ‘soft reboot’ Bumblebee.”
