Actor Stephen Baldwin visits Cherokee County to film dog show

WOODSTOCK — A Hollywood star visited Cherokee County Friday and Saturday to film scenes for an upcoming show. Stephen Baldwin, known for such roles as “Born on the Fourth of July” and “The Usual Suspects,” visited downtown Woodstock Friday to film scenes for “Why This is My Dog,” a series which takes a look at the bonds between dogs and their owners and what makes those bonds special.

Stephen Baldwin is asking for prayers after brother Alec accidentally shot and killed a crewmember and left another injured on the set of his new movie. On Thursday, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza was injured after Alec, 63 — the film's star and producer — accidentally misfired a prop gun at the Bonanza Creek Ranch set of the film Rust in New Mexico.
