Dries was promoted to the taxi squad Thursday, per CapFriendly. Dries joins the taxi squad to help shore up the Avalanche's forward depth. He has no points through three NHL appearances this year.

Dries was assigned to AHL Colorado on Thursday, Adrian Dater of ColoradoHockeyNow.com reports. Dries hasn't played with the big club since Feb. 16. The 26-year-old will head down to minors to get some game action. He typically is a strong offensive contributor in the minors, as he produced 21 goals and 14 assists across 50 AHL contests last year.

Dries was assigned to the taxi squad Wednesday, per CapFriendly. Dries has played three NHL games this year, averaging 7:48 per contest and dishing out six total hits. He'll likely be on the lineup bubble for most of the season.

Dries had 7:41 of ice time in Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Golden Knights. Appearing in his second game of the season, Dries and Jayson Megna took up residency on the fourth line in a contest that Colorado played without Matt Calvert (upper body), Tyson Jost (COVID-19 protocol) and Gabriel Landeskog (COVID-19 protocol). All three could return to action this week -- head coach Jared Bednar expects Jost and Landeskog on Saturday -- so Dries may be in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Vegas.

Dries was promoted to Colorado's active roster Friday. Dries has only drawn into one game with the Avalanche this season, dishing out four hits in 8:20 of ice time Feb. 2 against the Wild. At this point it isn't clear if he'll be in the lineup for Sunday's game versus Vegas.

Dries has been reassigned to Colorado's taxi squad, per CBS. Dries will shift to the taxi squad for now, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him back on the active roster ahead of Saturday's game against St. Louis.

The Avalanche reached down for a center after it was announced Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) is week to week. Both MacKinnon and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare (knee) were deemed week-to-week, so Dries could be around for another week or more. He's serving as the center on the fourth line.

Dries cleared waivers Saturday, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports. After clearing waivers, Dries becomes a candidate for Colorado's taxi squad. The 26-year-old center scored 21 goals with 14 assists over 50 games for AHL Colorado in 2019-20.

Colorado waived Dries on Friday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports. Assuming he clears waivers, Dries will be a candidate for a spot on the Avalanche's taxi squad. The 26-year-old forward totaled 21 goals and 35 points in 50 AHL games last campaign.
