Atlanta Contemporary holds it thrice-annual Open Studios this weekend, spotlighting its Studio Artist Program. Studios will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday–Sunday (May 22–23). Twelve artists will take part: Marc Brotherton, Emma Chammah, InKyoung Chun, Sabre Esler, Jane Foley, MaDora Frey, Carol John, Kelly Taylor Mitchell, Dianna Settles, Tracy Murrell, Sergio Suárez and Jeffrey Wilcox Paclipan. SAFETY HARBOR — Shawn Mullins will perform Saturday, May 1, on the outdoor stage at the Safety Harbor Art & Music Center, 706 Second St. N., Safety Harbor. Mullins will perform two shows at the center. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for the 5 p.m. show. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show. Atlanta singer-songwriter is also working on a soundtrack. Early March will mark a year since Shawn Mullins played his annual birthday shows at Eddie Owen’s Duluth music hall, the Red Clay Music Foundry, suited up for one more concert in the Northeast and then canceled the rest of his touring year — about 60 dates planned to start last April.
