Larry King's estranged widow Shawn King has made another legal move following the disclosure of the TV icon's secret will. Last week, King's will was revealed, with the document stating he wished for his $2 million estate to be divided among his five children, two of whom predeceased him. But the handwritten will made no mention of Shawn and apparently wasn't updated after the deaths of daughter Chaia and adopted son Andy.

Larry King's Estranged Wife Shawn King Files to Become Administrator of His Estate

Shawn King, the estranged wife of the late Larry King, is contesting the host's most recent will. King petitioned the court to become the administrator of her former husband's estate –– which, according to the court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the wife claims is worth approximately $350,000. Larry King Jr., who's currently in control of the estate, placed the estimate much higher at a whopping $2 million. The case is scheduled for a hearing on Feb. 24.

Shawn King Files to Be Appointed Administrator of Larry King's Estate

The legal battle over the late Larry King's estate continues. Larry's wife, Shawn King, has filed court documents to be appointed administrator of his estate. The late TV personality wrote an updated will dated Oct. 17, 2019, leaving his entire estate to his five children, two of whom are now deceased. Shawn was not included in the amendment and is currently contesting it, as well as the efforts by his 59-year-old son, Larry King Jr., to be administrator of the estate. In court documents obtained by ET on Friday, she petitioned to be appointed administrator of her late husband's estate and included a copy of Larry's will dated July 7, 2015, which states that he nominates her to serve as the executor of his estate. A hearing on the case is scheduled for Feb 24.

Shawn, from whom Larry filed for divorce in August 2019, claimed in court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 16, that she and the late talk show host “had gone to counseling, were still speaking, and reconciliation remained possible until Larry’s health conditions made that impractical.” She also alleged that their divorce “had been pending for quite some time” and that Larry “was generally nonresponsive and refused to participate in the divorce proceeding” before his death on January 23.
