Scott Coker rips judging in Logan Storley vs. Michael Page: ‘You’re just laying on somebody — and to me, that’s not MMA’

Scott Coker doesn’t believe the right man is holding Bellator’s interim welterweight title. Following Logan Storley’s controversial win over Michael Page in the main event of Bellator 281, which saw Storley control “MVP” for the majority of the bout with his wrestling but otherwise land very little effective offense, the Bellator president told reporters in London that he believed the damage inflicted by Page during the fight’s striking exchanges should’ve been enough to award the Englishman with the promotion’s new interim strap.

Scott Coker on PFL matching Bellator’s contract offer to Kayla Harrison: ‘It meant a lot more to them to have her’

It’s no secret that Kayla Harrison is the face of the Professional Fighter’s League (PFL). Ahead of the promotion’s current season, Harrison tested the free agency waters where she accepted a contract with Bellator to challenge Cris “Cyborg” Justino for the Featherweight title on April 23, 2022, in Honolulu, Hawaii. However, this didn’t end up happening as the PFL matched Bellator’s contract offer and Harrison re-signed with her nearly-exclusive mixed martial arts (MMA) home. Cyborg instead went on to rematch Arlene Blencowe and win a unanimous decision (watch highlights).

Scott Coker changes tune, now open to Pitbull vs. McKee trilogy fight

A.J. McKee was stunned when the judges’ scorecards were all in favor of Patricio Pitbull at Bellator 277 after 25 minutes of action. But, the ex-champion will likely have the chance to make things right for himself because Bellator MMA President, Scott Coker, has changed his tune on making a third straight fight between the two talented Featherweights.

Scott Coker open to Liz Carmouche vs. Juliana Velasquez rematch after controversial ending at Bellator 278

If Scott Coker has his way, an immediate rematch for the Bellator flyweight championship could happen in the near future. On Friday, Bellator 278 took place in Honolulu, Hawaii to start a doubleheader for the promotion and it was capped off by Liz Carmouche stopping Juliana Velasquez via fourth-round TKO in a tremendous comeback after being down on the scorecards heading into the championship stanzas. While Carmouche was in a dominant position from crucifix on the ground and landing some big elbows, many believe referee Mike Beltran stopped the fight too quickly and that an immediate rematch should be rebooked.

Scott Coker Says Open Scoring Should Be Considered For Bellator

Bellator President Scott Coker says that open scoring is something that should be considered for Bellator. This comes after a contentious decision occurred last week in Bellator 277’s main event as Patrício “Pitbull” Freire defeated A.J. McKee via unanimous decision. Some argued McKee had done enough to defend his title. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson even went as far as to label the decision “the worst robbery I’ve ever seen in MMA“.
