Sarah Huckabee Sanders

The ‘press’ — who needs ’em? Not Republican politicians, particularly Sarah Huckabee Sanders. An occasion to praise Asa.

Here’s a thoughtful article on the rising tendency of Republican politicians and their mouthpieces to refuse to talk to mainstream media. Conservative distrust of media is an old story, of course, but it’s rising to new levels as the print media industry implodes. Who needs them anymore if they might ask a tough question or unearth something unflattering in your record, particularly since so many fewer people are reading? The writer of this article tends to credit the theory of a liberal lean to mainstream media, but he does make the point that mainstream media DO write critically about Democrats. The reverse is never true on Republican mouthpieces such as Fox News.
