Sandeep Lamichhane

Sandeep Lamichhane is a Nepalese cricketer and a part of the Nepal national cricket team. The teenager is famous as a leg break bowler. He played for his country at the U-19 Cricket World Cup, where he picked 14 wickets. He played against many countries including Namibia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Ireland. He became the fifth bowler in the world to make a hat trick in the Under-19 World Cup when he took five wickets against Ireland. When the Delhi Daredevils purchased him for INR 2 million in 2018, he became the first Nepalese cricketer to participate in the Indian Premier League. The ‘King of Spin’ as he is commonly known as, Sandeep took 17 wickets in six matches during the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament and was awarded the ICC World Cricket League Division Two Player of the Tournament. The International Cricket Council (ICC) named him as one of the ten players to watch for in 2018. Recognizing Sandeep’s talent, former Australian skipper Michael Clarke invited him to join the Michael Clarke Academy in Sydney to sharpen his skills.
