A Few Moments With Samantha Fish

Few artists put on a show like Samantha Fish! I got my first experience back in 2013 and have been a fan of hers ever since. I hate to say she is blues, jazz, or rock and roll because she is all of them wrapped up in one screaming dynamo with a guitar. As I tell her in our talk, the best I can come up with is badass!

With her latest album Faster having her rocking like never before, Samantha Fish is bringing all that fire to the heart of NODA next Wednesday, April 13, at The Neighborhood Theatre for what is sure to be the hottest show in town. The multi-talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist is best known as a blues guitarist, receiving numerous accolades over the years ranging from Best New Artist in 2012 to Artist of the Year in 2018 and everything in between. Faster had her working with producer Martin Kierzenbaum (Lady Gaga, Sting) to bring out even more intensity from her work and the result is an intense ride of blues-based rock and roll that is simply scorching.

In Focus: Samantha Fish at The Stanley Theater

On March 10th, Samantha Fish performed in Utica at the Stanley Theater, one of the first of many shows on her 2022 Tour, sharing the stage with co-headliner Devon Allman. With opener “The River Kittens,” she and the band created a humorous hype for the crowd. This is not the first Samantha Fish show I’ve seen, but it was one of the best, with a spectacular final act from Devon Allman.

Q&A: Guitar great Samantha Fish returns to Buffalo with fantastic 'Faster'

Samantha Fish should consider hiring Maxwell Jacob Friedman as her hype man because, as he might say, she’s better than you – and you know it. She would be the last one to make that claim – and with MJF previously committed, let me be the one to say this: Fish is an amazing talent who should be on the radar – if not the playlist – of music fans.
