Ryan Hilinski sets Northwestern record in hot start to 2022 season

Despite Northwestern falling to Duke 31-23, QB Ryan Hilinski was on a hot streak, setting records on Saturday. Late in the game, Hilinski led the team down the field for 80 yards, capping off that drive with a touchdown pass to Donny Navarro III. With that throw, Hilinski surpassed 300 yards to go down in the history books. Hilinski was the first quarterback since Clayton Thorson in 2018 to throw for 300 yards in a game, doing that in Week 0.
