Jazz's Royce O'Neale: Double-doubles in loss

O'Neale had 21 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 3pt, 1-1 FT) and 10 rebounds in Friday's 131-119 loss to the Clippers. O'Neale had one of his best games of the year, as he recorded just his fourth double-double of the year and had a season-high 21 points. The 28-year-old isn't typically known for scoring, but he improved his scoring average by over four points in 11 playoff games this year. A large reason for that was his shooting improvement, as he shot 46.7 percent from three and 50.6 percent overall from the field. It's unrealistic to hold him to these shooting standards heading into next season, but he's definitely shown his potential after stepping up in the playoffs.

Saturday NBA Prop Bets: Fats picks Paul George, Royce O'Neale, Ivica Zubac, Nicolas Batum

1-5 yesterday as the losing streak continues. What did I learn yesterday? Gosh, did Nokla Jokic deserve the MVP. I thought the Knicks would have been bad without Julius Randle this season, but the Nuggets may have been worse. Without Jamal Murray, they're not ready. Michael Porter Jr. needs another year. If the Suns and Jazz hold on, Chris Paul and Devin Booker vs. Donovan Mitchell and a healthy Mike Conley could be a very entertaining series. With Joel Embiid, the Sixers look to be too much for the Hawks, but I think the Hawks have another run in them.

Jazz's Royce O'Neale: Remains hot from beyond arc

O'Neale posted 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-7 3Pt), seven rebounds and a steal across 32 minutes in Saturday's 121-111 win over the Grizzlies. O'Neale is not the first name you think of when considering sharpshooters on Utah's roster, but his numbers from long range have been off the charts in this series. He's drilled nine threes at a rate of 56.3 percent over three games, which destroys his career average by a wide margin. If he can stay hot, his production could make for a great contrarian DFS target moving forward.

Jazz's Royce O'Neale: Impressive in Game 2

O'Neale posted 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt), eight rebounds and three assists in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 141-129 Game 2 win over the Grizzlies. Wednesday marked O'Neale's first double-digit scoring effort since May 10, and it was his first game with at least 14 points since April 17. He's primarily a three-and-D presence with rebounding upside, so he likely won't have great performances unless he knocks down multiple threes.
