Senator Roy Blunt sends letter to TikTok demanding answers on China’s reported backdoor access to Americans’ data
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), a member of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Data Security, joined U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.) and seven of their colleagues in sending a letter to the CEO of TikTok, Shou Zi Chew, following reports about the company giving Beijing backdoor access to private user data.
