Vashon Film Institute Announces Vashon Island Film Festival Shorts

Ten international short films will screen at the debut fest on August 12-14, 2022. A week after revealing its feature and seminar slate, the non-profit Vashon Film Institute (VFI) announced the shorts slate for its inaugural Vashon Island Film Festival (VIFF), August 12-14, 2022. VIFF will screen ten shorts from six countries—eight narratives and two documentaries—that have recently distinguished themselves on the festival circuit alongside its feature slate. The Festival also includes an Opening Night Gala, Saturday Night Soiree, and two seminars delivered by notable film industry guests.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last week that U.S. employers added 528,000 jobs in July. The strong labor market means more opportunity for workers to switch careers or take on extra work.
