Live like a Prime Minister by snapping up the former home of Sir Robert Peel

If ever one fostered a desire to ‘live like a Prime Minister’ then this would be a house in which to achieve that. For this Grade II listed Staffordshire abode was once the dwelling of Sir Robert Peel, ‘the father of modern policing’ who was Prime Minister of the UK on two occasions, between 1834 and 1835 as well as between 1841 and 1846. He bought this charming home in around 1827 and used it as a Hunting Lodge; it was eventually passed down through the Peel family before being sold by the 4th Baronet in the mid-1920s.
