We could all use a few laughs now and then, especially coming out of a rough pandemic, where gallows humor became the norm. That is set to change this summer in Estes Park as Comedy Works and The Stanley Hotel are bringing comedian Rob Schneider to the Rocky Mountains, kicking off the first show in over a year from a long standing relationship between Comedy Works and The Stanley Hotel.

The Lake County Captains are partnering with The Comedy Zone for the show, which will be at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Schneider is a comedian, actor, screenwriter and director who performed on “Saturday Night Live” from 1990 to 1994 and has been featured in dozens of movies (“Deuce Bigalow” films, “The Benchwarmers,” “The Longest Yard”) and television shows.

We already knew Kevin James would be cast as Sean Payton in the upcoming Netflix movie, Home Team, but the rest of the cast is lining up as filming gets set to kick off. An additional 10 adult cast members, including a handful of household names, were announced for the project today. Eight child actors have also signed on for roles in the film, none of which have yet been specified.
