Reekado Banks rose to national prominence in Nigeria with his 2016 release, Spotlight. True to naija pop’s eclectic tendencies, the album incorporates elements of hip-hop, dancehall, highlife, Afrobeat and even soukous from Congo, and showcases a rich voice and thoughtful lyrics.
