Acting Syracuse women's basketball head coach Vonn Read was made available for interview for the first time on Monday, more than two months after the school announced that he would replace Quentin Hillsman. Hillsman resigned amid an independent investigation into the program, following a report from The Athletic that laid out numerous allegations including bullying and harassment.

According to a report from Paco Simon of Al Cabo De La Calle, former Syracuse head coach Quentin Hillsman will no longer coach Leganes of the Endesa League, the highest level of women's professional basketball in Spain. News of Hillsman's hiring was reported just five days ago. However, according to Simon, negative publicity from Hillsman's hiring due to the inappropriate behavior allegations that led to his resignation at Syracuse as well as trouble with his work permit in Spain led to a new head coach being hired.

Syracuse, N.Y. — Leganés Basketball, a professional women’s team in Spain, announced Sunday that it will not hire Quentin Hillsman as its head coach. The former Syracuse women’s basketball coach was hired last Wednesday, but the organization broke its agreement with Hillsman due to difficulties in obtaining his work visa and the negative attention generated by his signing, according to a report by Paco Simon of Al Cabo de La Calle.
