Acting Syracuse women's basketball head coach Vonn Read was made available for interview for the first time on Monday, more than two months after the school announced that he would replace Quentin Hillsman. Hillsman resigned amid an independent investigation into the program, following a report from The Athletic that laid out numerous allegations including bullying and harassment.

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse athletic director John Wildhack offered those who had a negative experience in the women’s basketball program an apology on Wednesday. There was little explanation, little substance and little public self-reflection on the Chase Scanlan and Quentin Hillsman episodes that have created a cloud - not to mention a lawsuit - around Syracuse athletics for the past four months.

According to a report from Paco Simon of Al Cabo De La Calle, former Syracuse head coach Quentin Hillsman will no longer coach Leganes of the Endesa League, the highest level of women's professional basketball in Spain. News of Hillsman's hiring was reported just five days ago. However, according to Simon, negative publicity from Hillsman's hiring due to the inappropriate behavior allegations that led to his resignation at Syracuse as well as trouble with his work permit in Spain led to a new head coach being hired.
