The 2022 Eyes on Design show promises a full weekend of activities, culminating in a concours Sunday at the Ford House in Gross Pointe Farms. Dedicated to showcasing the art of auto design, Eyes' theme this year is "Designed for Speed" — appropriately following the Detroit Grand Prix and showcasing 200 significant race car design of the past, present and future — including the 2023 IMSA-prototype Cadillac GTP Hypercar, making its first public appearance.

Peter Brock confirmed for VSCDA Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival

VSCDA’s popular Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival (ELVF) at Road America is on the club’s schedule for Sept. 17-19, and will feature Peter Brock as special guest. To honor Brock, the event’s activities will include a 2.5-liter feature race in honor of the 50th anniversary of the 2.5-liter series won by his BRE Datsun 510s that also won the Trans Am 2-liter series. An Irish company by the name of Ava has plans to convert a C2 Chevrolet Corvette to run on battery-electric power—but this is no backyard project. Ava has teamed up with legendary race car designer Peter Brock to help with the project, as well as Callum, the car customization company established by esteemed car designer Ian Callum.

The Ava will make as much as 2,000 hp. Peter Brock and Ian Callum are teaming up to design a modern version of the second-generation Chevrolet Corvette with an electric powertrain. The company behind the project calls the vehicle Ava, and it stands for the Latin phrase ad vitam aeternam, which means "to eternal life."
