As “Fast & Furious 10” moves overseas to shoot, Vin Diesel shares a heartfelt throwback photo with the late Paul Walker. Diesel and Walker led the “Fast & Furious” franchise together for many years before Walker passed away in 2013. The actor was unfortunately involved in a fatal car crash on an off day when filming the 7th installment to the franchise.

There was a time when Vin Diesel and Paul Walker co-led the Fast & Furious franchise together, with their characters, Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner, becoming as close as brothers. Sadly, Walker passed away in 2013, but Diesel has made sure he’s not forgotten, frequently reflecting on his time with Walker and sharing tributes to him on social media. Case in point, Diesel posted a throwback to him as Fast & Furious 10 heads across the pond to shoot.

Well, this makes too much sense. The Hollywood Reporter is, uh, reporting, that Jason Momoa is in talks to join the cast of Fast and Furious 10. The film, again starring Vin Diesel and (presumably) Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang (as the now undead Han) and Charlize Theron (being set up as the Blofeld of the franchise in the final stretch), is set for May 19, 2023. Justin Lin is back in the director’s chair, having helmed parts 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9, with Dwayne Johnson absolutely, totally, without question, cross-his-heart-and-hope-to-die not returning as Agent Hobbs after a now-five year long public feud with Diesel. What Momoa, he of Aquaman, Game of Thrones and Dune, brings to the table is what the franchise has been lacking since Furious 7.

Veteran Fast and Furious director Justin Lin has spoken about his grand plans for the final chapter in the world’s quick and grumpy action movie series. Speaking to Insider, Lin explained he’s been thinking about the ‘Fast finale’ for years now and revealed he had conversations with the late Paul Walker about how it should end.

F9 hit theaters last summer, kicking off the endgame of the Fast and Furious franchise and, now, the family is gearing up for the final two movies. Fast 10 has been delayed slightly, but production is still moving forward. While the film series has gone through a ton of changes following Paul Walker’s death in 2013, the creatives have tried to keep his spirit alive. Now, ahead of the final film, director Justin Lin is looking back on his conversations with Walker regardin the franchise final installment.

After nearly ten years, Justin Lin still recalls conversations with the late ‘Fast & Furious’ star Paul Walker about the hit movie franchise. Lin directed “Fast & Furious: Tokoyo Drift” back in 2016. He helmed four more “Fast & Furious” films and will wrap the series, with the delayed 10th movie coming out in 2023 and 2024.

Earlier this fall, director Justin Lin told Insider that he's been thinking about the end of the franchise for over a decade.

Shortly after the eighth anniversary of the death of Paul Walker, his Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel was at the annual FuelFest music and automotive festival in Phoenix, Arizona. Diesel, who has long referred to Paul as his brother, commemorated his passing by spending time with Paul’s biological brother Cody, who hosted the event.
