Jets' Paul Stastny: Records 21 goals

Stastny scored 21 goals on 141 shots this season, his highest goal total since 2013-14 when he was with Colorado. Stastny was forced to frequently move between wing and center this season but still managed to rack up 45 points in 71 games. After signing a one-year deal with Winnipeg last offseason, Stastny will once again find himself looking for a new contract heading into the summer. While Stastny is unlikely to offer elite-level fantasy value, he should still be a high-end target even if he signs outside of Winnipeg.

Forward Paul Stastny’s contract is due at the end of the season and it’d be in the Winnipeg Jets’ best interest to lock him up before someone else does. The 36-year-old has resurged as one of the club’s top point producers this year. He’s registered 42 points (21 goals, 21 assists) in 65 games on the season and according to Elite Prospects‘ projected stats, he’s due to finish with 23 goals.

Stastny posted an assist, three shots on goal and a minus-4 rating in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Panthers. Stastny was caught on the ice for a majority of the Panthers' goals in a mixed-results kind of performance. The 36-year-old extended his point streak to four games (two tallies, four helpers). The veteran forward is up to 41 points, 123 shots on net and a plus-10 rating in 64 outings overall. He'll continue to center the second line with Mark Scheifele (upper body) out through the remainder of the Jets' road trip.

The 36-year-old has been solid lately with two goals and five helpers in his last seven outings. He's up to 39 points, 116 shots on net and a plus-12 rating through 62 appearances. While he plays on the top line at even strength, he remains a solid option in DFS, as he can pick up solid secondary scoring.
