A retired homemaker, teacher and business woman died on March 13, 2021. She graduated from Devilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio and held a degree of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from Ohio State University. She also held the degree of Master of Science from Akron University. Over the years she did graduate work at Purdue University, Mexico City College, University of Quito and the University of Madrid. She was married to William Pickard Boyle, Jr. of Briarcliff Manor, New York for 58 years. Mrs. Boyle founded and operated Gramercy Gallery in Medina and taught languages at Medina High School and Rocky River High School. Mrs. Boyle shared an interest, with her husband, in historic building preservation and farming. Together, they sympathetically restored several Victorian, commercial buildings on the Medina Public Square as well as a number of circa 1800's barns and related structures on their farms. In retirement, she resided and studied informally in Cambridge, England for many years. She traveled extensively throughout the world over those years. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Katharine McKennan Boyle; a son, William Pickard Boyle III; and a sister, Mrs. Patrick McGraw. There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private, near the family farm in Big Prairie, Ohio.
