‘Hurricane’ Nita Strauss stakes a convincing claim as one of the premier guitarists in the heavy rock world. She was the first female guitarist to receive the honour of a signature guitar from Ibanez, and has been one of the guitarists in Alice Cooper’s band since 2014, when she replaced Orianthi during a tour.

The Aftershock lineup is going through some shake-ups. Organizers for the California festival announced Tuesday that artists including Judas Priest, Bullet for My Valentine, Nita Strauss and Jinjer have dropped off the bill. It was a night of ‘Doom’ at the House of Blues San Diego thanks to Black Label Society and their outrageously wicked openers Nita Strauss and Jared James Nichols. Nita Strauss has been on fire lately. She just finished slicing up stages with Alice Cooper, dealin' out that Detroit Muscle on the Spring leg of The Coop's extensive 2022 US Tour. Last year, she dropped her first new solo music—the single "Dead Inside" featuring David Draiman of Disturbed—since her debut instrumental album Controlled Chaos in 2018. Also, let's not forget: that same year, she became the first female guitarist ever to release a signature model with Ibanez. Last week, in an episode of The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Strauss revealed the guitarist who inspired her the most – guitarist is Jennifer Batten.

Blue Ridge Rock Festival has added artists like Nita Strauss, Whitechapel, Knocked Loose, and Zao to its ever-expanding lineup. Black Label Society have announced a spring U.S. headlining run with support from Nita Strauss, Black Stone Cherry and Jared James Nichols. Fontana, Calif. — A certified guitar goddess will deliver an electrifying rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner before the WISE Power 400 on Sunday, Feb. 27.
