Nick Sheridan

When it comes to game day, Nick Sheridan is a Jack of All Trades

Nick Sheridan's official title is Tight Ends Coach, but at Washington he is putting his experience as Indiana's former Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback Coach to good use. And the main reason for that is Michael Penix, Jr.. Sheridan and Penix have known each other for the last seven years, so when Sheridan was let go last December, it was a no-brainer for Penix to transfer to Washington after UW hired Sheridan to join Kalen DeBoer's staff. After all, his last two OCs were going to be back coaching at the same school.

Nick Sheridan is doing less with more talent

At 2-3 with three losses to teams that are now ranked in the top five of the AP poll, there is still plenty of season left for the Indiana Hoosiers. Cincinnati’s win in South Bend made the Sept. 18 loss in Bloomington look much better, as the Hoosiers were able to at least keep it closer than the No. 14-ranked Fighting Irish did. The upcoming Penn State at Iowa game this coming Saturday will tell us more, but so far neither of those losses are looking catastrophic for Indiana’s bowl hopes either.

Indiana OC Nick Sheridan talks improved offensive line play, talent level of new RB Stephen Carr

Arguably the offensive line is the most important position when looking at Indiana’s success this season. Setting up the running game and providing the needed protection to allow the passing attack to succeed will be key to adding tallies to the win column. It appears that they, along with transfer Stephen Carr are off to a good start at camp, at least according to offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan.
