Elvis Costello to Reunite With Nick Lowe for Summer Tour

Click here to read the full article. Elvis Costello and the Imposters will embark on a U.S. tour this August, joined on most of the dates by Nick Lowe, Costello’s original late ’70s/early ’80s producer and, of course, the man who knows the answer to the question “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding.” Costello and Lowe last shared a touring bill in 1989. Elvis Costello announces tour with Nick Lowe

Elvis Costello & The Imposters recently released new album The Boy Named If that very much has the spirit of his classic albums with The Attractions. He's just announced a North American tour supporting it. "Pete Thomas, Steve Nieve and I have been spinning around like your favorite 45rpm for forty-five years and let's be clear, Davey Faragher isn't anyone's deputy," says Elvis of his band. "The Attractions could have no more made The Boy Named If than we have any desire to time travel back to the 1970s. This is happening right now in 2022, we are coming at you, big as life and twice as ugly."

Tanglewood 2022: ‘Don Giovanni,’ Bonnie Raitt, Beethoven piano concertos, Nick Lowe, Tanglewood Festival Chorus, and more

Lenox — Release the doves, and make way for a lot of good news, because Tanglewood is returning to a full season of performances and reopening Ozawa Hall and the Linde Center for performances with audiences. Over 120 events are scheduled for the 2022 Tanglewood season, beginning June 17 and ending September 3. That’s 11 weeks of musical performance and instruction. Perhaps most exciting of all, the James Burton-led Tanglewood Festival Chorus, sorely missed at Tanglewood since 2019, returns for performances with the Boston Symphony Orchestra of Brahms’ “A German Requiem,” Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances from “Prince Igor,” and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Michael Tilson Thomas conducting.
