Immediately following the contest, Head Coach Neal Brown spoke with Amanda Mazey on the sidelines, sharing his on-the-spot thoughts on his team's performance, including that of the quarterbacks. After having some time to get into the locker room, talk it over with his coaches, and think about it a little more, Brown met with the media for his post-game press conference. Head Coach Neal Brown gives an update on the QB competition

The final week of spring football is here. The Mountaineers will take part in the annual Gold-Blue Game on Saturday afternoon, with West Virginia set for a traditional (albeit likely shorter) version of a football game. The focus of the event very well could be the quarterback situation, one that has been in flux the entire offseason. Head Coach Neal Brown said there would be an open competition this spring, with each of the three quarterbacks getting equal time. On Tuesday, he updated that situation ahead of the spring game.
