Sabine Wren is coming to live-action, and Star Wars fans can’t wait to see her again for the first time since 2018. At Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022, it was officially confirmed that Natasha Liu Bordizzo would play the role of Sabine in the forthcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: Ahsoka. It was previously reported that Sabine would share a lead role with the series’ title character, though the casting wasn’t official until several months ago.
Ahsoka Tano has popped up in just about every corner of the Star Wars galaxy. Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan has been a fan favorite ever since she debuted in the 2008 animated Clone Wars film, and over the last decade-and-a-half, she's appeared in the animated Clone Wars series, Rebels, The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett. (She even made a voice cameo in 2019's The Rise of Skywalker.)

Click here to read the full article. “Ahsoka” star Rosario Dawson popped up at Star Wars Celebration on Saturday to bring anxious fans a special surprise — some first look footage from the upcoming Disney+ series, which played exclusively for attendees. After missing Thursday’s Lucasfilm Studio Showcase presentation due to filming “Ahsoka,” Dawson appeared at the end of “The Mandalorian” panel, which featured creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, director and newly-promoted executive producer Rick Famuyiwa, stars Pedro Pascal (the titular Mandalorian), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Emily Swallow (The Armorer), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett) and Carl Weathers...
Earlier today during the Mando+ panel at Star Wars Celebration came official confirmation from Lucasfilm that actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo would be playing the part of Sabine Wren in the upcoming Ahsoka TV series. Previously only seen in animation on Star Wars Rebels, this will mark the character's debut in live-action. The casting of Bordizzo was first reported in the press back in November of 2021, but confirmation from the studio never came. To make things even more interesting though, Bordizzo and her Ahsoka co-star Rosario Dawson confirmed that she landed the role of live-action Sabine over a year ago. It all started on the Star Wars Celebration livestream when Dawson herself flat out said, "She's been cast for a year."
This weekend at Star Wars Celebration, fans got their first taste of the highly-anticipated live-action Ahsoka series, based on the Jedi character made popular by the animated series' Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. Following Saturday's Mando+ panel on all things The Mandalorian, Collider's own Therese Lacson was able to speak with Rosario Dawson, who plays the titular Jedi, Ahsoka, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who is set to bring to life Mandalorian warrior and graffiti artist Sabine Wren. Sabine also features heavily in Star Wars: Rebels as part of the Ghost crew, using her knowledge as an explosives expert to take down the Empire.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo has reportedly been cast as Sabine Wren in the upcoming live-action Disney+ series, “Star Wars: Ahsoka.”. Sabine Wren was voiced by Tiya Sircar in “Star Wars: Rebels” and has not been seen on-screen since the series ended in 2018. Sabine and Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) will presumably continue their search for Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn, which is where we left them at the end of “Rebels.” Ahsoka was seen searching for Thrawn in “The Mandalorian.”
Another Star Wars hero is making the jump to live-action. Variety reports that Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine Wren for the Disney Plus TV series Ahsoka. Sabine is a young Mandalorian who was part of the first wave of resistance against the Empire. She was introduced in the animated series Star Wars: Rebels, where she grew quite close to Ahsoka Tano. In fact, when last we saw her, she’d enlisted Ahsoka in the search for Ezra Bridgers, who sacrificed himself at the end of Rebels to defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn. Their search coincides with The Mandalorian, some five years after the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi.
Finally we have Sabine Wren cast for Ahsoka. A little late with this one as it broke late on Friday, but Deadline has confirmed that Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine for the upcoming Disney+ Show. There had been rumors that the Sabine casting was down to three contenders, but none mentioned were strangely Natasha Liu Bordizzo. These things happen folks. The main thing is, I think based on what I’ve seen, Lucasfilm has found the perfect Sabine Wren to star alongside Rosario Dawson as title character Ahsoka Tano.
As the Star Wars: Ahsoka series starring Rosario Dawson dashes towards a potential March start-of-shooting date, Deadline is reporting that Natasha Liu Bordizzo of Netflix's The Society has been cast as Sabine Wren. For the uninitiated, Wren is one of the main characters from animated series Star Wars Rebels, where...
The Star Wars: Ahsoka series starring Rosario Dawson has reportedly found its Sabine Wren in The Society star Natasha Liu Bordizzo. Deadline reports Bordizzo will portray the live-action version of the Star Wars Rebels character, who was previously voiced by Tiya Sircar. Rumors have swirled that Ahsoka will feature a reunion of Star Wars characters from the animated Rebels series, as Dawson's titular character assumably will be searching for Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn after the duo were lost in hyperspace in the Star Wars Rebels series finale. Dawson made her Ahsoka debut during the second season of The Mandalorian.
Another fan-favorite character from Star Wars animation is coming to live-action. Deadline is reporting that actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine Wren in the upcoming miniseries Star Wars: Ahsoka. Sabine was one of the main characters in Star Wars Rebels, where she was voiced by Tiya Sircar....
The upcoming Ahsoka Tano series at Disney Plus has cast Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Variety has confirmed with sources. She joins previously announced series lead Rosario Dawson. Wren was first introduced to the “Star Wars” universe in the animated series “Star Wars Rebels.” She is a young Mandalorian and a weapons expert, particularly when it comes to explosives. She is also known for her love of graffiti and is a dropout of the Imperial Academy of Mandalore. After the fall of the Empire, Wren and Tano struck out in search of their missing friend, Ezra Bridger. In “Rebels,” the...
