'SNL': Miles Teller and Mikey Day Can't Flirt in 'Rooftop Bar' Sketch

Miles Teller took on hosting duties on Saturday Night Live for its Season 48 premiere with musical guest Kendrick Lamar, and it brought us some wonderfully fun sketches from Teller and company. After the summer break, the series came back with all the force we know and love from Saturday Night Live, and it also brought us sketches that included Teller and Mikey Day being bad at flirting. Which seems impossible and yet, was oddly believable.

'SNL': Mikey Day is 'Old Enough' to Run Errands for Selena Gomez by Himself

Saturday Night Live brought us a great episode last night with host Selena Gomez and with it came a brand new sketch about the hit show Old Enough. The long-running Japanese show sends kids out on errands for their parents to start giving them independence. It's cute to watch, and the entire town where these kids live seem in on the bit and even in bigger cities, no one really bats an eye at kids going out to run some errands.

The Untold Truth Of Is It Cake? Host Mikey Day

The reality baking show "Is it Cake?" broadened our definition of what a cake can look like. But it also got us wondering about the lucky host who gets to be surrounded by all that cake (and eat it, too — in fact, these bakeries are home to the best cakes in the U.S.). Mikey Day is a familiar face for those who tune in to "Saturday Night Live" each week. However, we wouldn't blame you if you didn't recognize the knife-wielding host of "Is it Cake?" as the "SNL" comedy whiz, since, on "SNL," he's often seen looking and talking like someone else, be it Donald Trump Jr. or Prince Harry. But on "Is it Cake?" — which enjoyed the top spot on Netflix U.S. for a brief time — Day does no impressions. All he comes with is a knife and a bag of jokes.

WATCH: Chris Redd and Mikey Day are Every Woman's Nightmare in Cut SNL Sketch

Zoë Kravitz's episode of Saturday Night Live was so strong that producers had to cut a sharply-written sketch starring Chris Redd and Mikey Day as men struggling to flirt with women (Kravitz and Ego Nwodim) at a gas station. As any woman who's ever been bothered in public knows, Redd and Day's interruption is unwelcome, at best, and threatening, at worst, and their behavior only escalates as the women point out their many flaws.

Willem Dafoe Breaks Out His Wisconsin Accent for Mikey Day and Aidy Bryant in ‘SNL’ Monologue

Everyone’s favorite menace is apparently a pretty good comic, too. Willem Dafoe made his way from Spider-Man: No Way Home buzz and right into the studios at 30 Rock on Saturday, hosting the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. During his opening monologue, Dafoe touched on his early beginnings as an actor, poking fun at how expressive his face can get. “Some people have told me that my acting is over the top,” he said. “But to me, one man’s over the top is another man’s engaged performance.”
