Comobuz.com publisher Mike Murphy describes his publication as an online magazine. He’s a career newspaper guy. He’s written a scathing editorial about the state of newspaper journalism, which is titled “Newspapers peddling what little influence they have left,” and references a recent “Kansas City Star” article about crime in Columbia. Mr. Murphy, a former Gatehouse executive, joined host Fred Parry in-studio Saturday morning on 939 the Eagle’s “CEO Round Table.” They discussed the state of journalism in 2022 and tackled several local issues as well. Mike Murphy: Build Back Better plan deserves support

As the US Senate considers the bipartisan Build Back Better plan passed by the House, we can encourage passage without changes. I especially support the following: 1) Allowing Medicare to negotiate prices on drugs. 2) Cap out-of-pocket costs to Medicare Part D at $2,000. And 3) keep the $35/mo. cap on insulin costs. Medicare recipients paid for this benefit over years of employment.
