Phillies MLR 6/15/21: Mick Abel struggles in start and Matt Vierling with two hits in LHV debut

Adonis Medina - 4 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 0 K, HR, HBP, 4 GB, 4 FB. Mickey Moniak - 0 for 4, K (outfield assist, home) Rafael Marchan - 0 for 4, K (passed ball) Certainly not the result I would have expected with this lineup and Medina on the mound. Medina takes his 4th loss of the season and saw his ERA rise to 5.61 in 33.2 innings this season in LHV. The offense behind him only mustered 5 hits and 3 walk to 12 strikeouts. Two of those hits came from Matt Vierling, making his AAA debut.

Friday morning, that task was made complete.
