Marvin Vettori says Israel Adesanya’s failure to deliver on promises at UFC 276 is nothing new: “Came out with a samurai mask — didn’t do f**king s*t”

Marvin Vettori believes Israel Adesanya also failed to deliver on his promise for their title clash at UFC 263 last year. Earlier this month at UFC 276 in Las Vegas, Israel Adesanya was able to defeat Jared Cannonier and successfully retain the UFC middleweight championship. However, after selling the idea of an exciting fight to the fans, many were left feeling disappointed as the champ didn’t really do much to force the issue against an understandably dangerous challenger.

Marvin Vettori Can Relate To Adesanya’s ‘False Advertising’

UFC middleweight contender Marvin Vettori has suggested that champion Israel Adesanya‘s perceived-to-be ‘safe’ performance at UFC 276 was nothing new. Headlining International Fight Week in Las Vegas earlier this month, Adesanya collided with the latest challenger to his lengthy 185-pound reign. Having previously brushed aside the efforts of Vettori, Robert Whittaker, Yoel Romero, and Paulo Costa to dethrone him, “The Last Stylebender” had the power of Jared Cannonier to deal with.

Darren Till says he would’ve finished Marvin Vettori in the first round when they were booked in 2021: “He just wouldn’t have been able to take my shots”

Darren Till believes he would’ve finished Marvin Vettori when they were scheduled to fight in April of 2021. Till and Vettori were set to headline UFC on ABC 2 but unfortunately just a few weeks before the event, the Brit broke his collarbone and was forced out of the fight. Vettori then fought Kevin Holland who he beat and proceeded to get a title shot against Israel Adesanya in the fight after.

Marvin Vettori blasts “boring” Israel Adesanya after UFC 276, says the division “needs a new champ”: “Italy will have his first UFC champion soon”

Marvin Vettori was not a fan of Israel Adesanya’s performance at UFC 276. Adesanya beat Jared Cannonier by a decision in the main event in a lackluster fight that saw fans leave the arena halfway through the contest. After the fight, Adesanya said it was an “off-night” for him but Vettori doesn’t believe that. Instead, he thinks the middleweight champ is just a boring fighter and claims the division needs a new champion.

Marvin Vettori Doesn’t “Think Paulo Costa Can Make 185 Anymore But Luke Rockhold Is A B*tch”

Marvin Vettori doesn’t believe Paulo Costa can make the middleweight limit for his upcoming bout with Luke Rockhold. Paulo Costa has seen more than his fair share of struggles making weight for his fights. Costa is set to welcome Luke Rockhold in his return to competition after a three-year hiatus. Following an unsuccessful move up to light heavyweight against Jan Blachowicz and losing three of his last four by knockout, Rockhold chose to step away from the sport.

Quote: Marvin Vettori Will Be Champion By The Age Of 30

Dominance MMA Management CEO Ali Abdelaziz has tipped UFC middleweight contender Marvin Vettori to hold gold before reaching the age of 30. Vettori, who, like Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje, and Islam Makhachev, is managed by Abdelaziz, has made 12 walks to the Octagon since joining the MMA leader in 2016, amassing an 8-3-1 UFC record.

Robert Whittaker believes he’ll earn a trilogy fight with Israel Adesanya with a win over Marvin Vettori

Robert Whittaker thinks he’s close to getting another crack at Israel Adesanya. Whittaker and Adesanya first met at UFC 243 when ‘The Reaper’ was the middleweight champ and ‘The Last Stylebender’ was the interim champ. It was Adesanya winning the fight by a convincing second-round KO. The pair would have their rematch at UFC 271 earlier this year and although Adesanya won again, it was by decision and a very close fight, so Whittaker believes if he defeated Marvin Vettori at UFC Paris in September he could earn him another title shot.
