HBO’s The Nevers reached new depths last night, quite literally. The Nevers Episode 3 “Ignition” not only ended with a shocking murder, killing off one of the show’s brightest lights, but also featured a thrilling underwater battle between Amalia True (Laura Donnelly) and a frightening henchman played by Martyn Ford. After all that pain, trauma, and violence, though, the episode ends on an oddly bittersweet note. Even though Mary Brighton (Eleanor Tomlinson) was gunned down while singing her enchanted song, her voice called other Touched to the Orphanage. The Nevers Episode 3 ends with none other than Bonfire Annie (Rochelle Neil) joining forces with our heroes.
