Listen to Lucky Daye and Mark Ronson team up on smooth new single ‘Too Much’

New Orleans singer-songwriter Lucky Daye has linked up with producer Mark Ronson for a new collaborative single, sharing the smooth cut ‘Too Much’. Released on Friday (May 13), it marks the second time the pair have worked together, after collaborating in 2019 on ‘Fly’ from the soundtrack for animated film Spies In Disguise. On ‘Too Much’, the pair join forces again to create a harmonious blend of disco, soul and funk, courtesy of Ronson’s sumptuous production and Daye’s velvety vocals. Check it out below.

Mark Ronson – “Too Much” (Feat. Lucky Daye)

We last heard from handsome super-producer Mark Ronson last year, when he teamed up with Paul McCartney and Gary Numan on his single “I Know Time (Is Calling).” Since then, Ronson has gotten married — he’s Meryl Streep’s son-in-law now — and done some podcasting. Today, he’s back with a new single that he recorded with the old-school soul revivalist Lucky Daye.

Mark Ronson and I were seated across from each other in his control room, which was a few degrees warmer than the rest of his lofty Soho studio space, casually adorned with framed platinum records. “The equipment heats up the room,” he said, gesturing languidly towards the keyboards and monitors cozily stuffed into the space. The place was softly pulsing with a lightly mystical kind of energy, exuding an old school feel where things are still done by hand.
